Akamina Pass Trail

Snowshoe Trail

Wishbone Trail

Crandell Loop

In addition to the trails, you can ride your bike to Cameron Lake, Red Rock Canyon, or just around the town site.

Biking Trails in Waterton Lakes National Park

Akamina Pass Trail

Length: 1.3 km one way
Trailhead: 14.4 km along the Akamina Parkway
Description: A short, wide, relatively steep trail that provides access to the Akamina-Kishenena Recreation Area of B.C.

Snowshoe Trail

Length: 16.4 km return
Trailhead: Red Rock Canyon parking lot
Description: This used to be a fire road, so some sections are steep. There are several creeks to be forded.
Destination: Snowshoe Warden Cabin and backcountry camping area.

Wishbone Trail

Length: 21 km return
Trailhead: 0.5 km along the Chief Mountain Highway from Highway 5 junction
Description: Wide and flat for first half, narrow, often overgrown and may be difficult (depending on the season) for the last half. Cycling is not permitted past Wishbone Landing or on the Vimy trail.

Crandell Loop

Length: 4 km to 20.6 km (partial or entire loop)
Trailhead: Take the Red Rock Parkway then cross the bridge on the Canyon Church Camp road
Description: A challenging loop around Crandell Mountain. You may choose to do portions of the trail because some sections were damaged in the 1995 flood.
